Fed up with the pressures of her acting career, the famous Myra Marlowe leases a house in a tiny New England hamlet and settles down to write her autobiography. Privacy is lost to the nosy neighbors, until Myra comes up with an idea. The ruse works well, at first, but problems soon arise!

Opens Oct 26Fans of finely crafted beer will gather in Elizabeth City, NC, for Arts of the Albemarle’s 6th annual River City Rhythm & Brews tasting party, 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 on the portico of Museum of the Albemarle, 501 S. Water St. Attendees will be able to sample more than two dozen craft brews, as well as ciders, and meet some of the local microbrewery ambassadors, including Ghost Harbor Brewery in Elizabeth City and Quick Trigger Brewery in Ahoskie. Local bands, including Home Bru, will provide live entertainment. Wine will also be available. Two food trucks will be on the premises. All attendees receive a souvenir tasting glass and koozie. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase. Early admission advance purchase tickets are $25 for AoA members & active duty military, $30 for non-members, with admission at 6 p.m. Tickets at the door are $35, with admission at 6:30 p.m..
