The Elizabeth City Writers Studio
When: The 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month, 12:30-2:30 PM
Where: AOA Madrin Studio at 115 N Poindexter St
Cost: Free
The Elizabeth City Writers Studio is a collection of writers collaborating to elevate our literary skills with the intent of developing publishable or saleable works. During our twice-monthly, 2 hour sessions, we spend the first hour offering critiques of works in progress, and the second hour reviewing the craft and business of writing. (Copy-editing, story structure, diction, description, etc.)
Writers of all levels are welcome to join the studio! To enable consistency and structure, however, we do wish to focus on short or long-form narratives (short stories/essays, and novels/books.) Other genres may be considered on a case by case basis. Beginning June 27th, the group will meet each second and fourth Saturday of the month, from 12:30-2:30 at the Arts of the Albemarle's Madrin Studio.
Registration is optional, feel free to show up on a walk-in basis on any given week!
